"5 EP Pieces is chock-full of great, feel-good hooks. It's an excellent amalgam of styles reminiscent of Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, The Beatles, The Kinks, Squeeze, and Clive Gregson's Any Trouble. I'm having a hard time choosing between "Glad You Came Around" and "Something Better" as my fave. On the one hand, "Glad You Came Around" is a hands-down pop hit, but on the other hand, "Something Better" could be a Smile-era Brian Wilson classic . So for me, I guess it's a toss-up!" - Fett Nashville

The Ragamuffins of Love
"Wise Up"
Are you looking for a group that knows how to rock with a sense of humor?  The Ragamuffins of Love played at IPO this year and have the musical chops to show off on the opener "Kiss Those Good Times Goodbye." Sung and played by the likes of Eff Dupp, Amadou Schbag, Kaye Seurat and Saul Goode. I think Bart Simpson will be calling Moe's bar looking for these guys for sure. Eff (aka Sandy McKnight) has a slurred quality to the vocals that recall Joe Walsh or Randy Newman a bit. The riffs and melodies here are no joke though. The next song, "Tangerine" gets into your head pretty well, and the "Plastic Yellow Raincoat" is a great song here in the Elvis Costello vein. The skinny tie jangle pop of "Julie Fashion Queen" will bring sweet memories to many power pop fans of the 80ʼs. More highlights
here include "All Broken Hearted Lovers," and the Pete Townshend's gin soaked "It's Not True." Eff then lets the band go for a metal/punk intro sound on "I Want My Money Back."  The...songwriting and musicianship is solid gold here...Fans of The Kinks, Elvis Costello and Buddy Love will love this stuff. I wised up, you should too.
want to make a record?
i do intensive pre-production work before i take an artist into the studio.  that's because it's important: repertoire analysis, song arranging and sequencing, hiring top notch players if necessary, finding and booking the right studio for the right price, etc.
an engineer is not a producer, no matter what they
tell you.
don't record without a producer (me).
want to do a show?
a fundraiser?  a musical?  a comedy night?  i can
produce it for you....i've done lots of 'em.  hire me for a flat fee, and i'll make sure your event is a success.
want to write songs?
i can guide you to writing better songs.  i run
workshops, or i can work with you one-on-one.
then, when you're ready, we can do a recording of
your songs.  this'll be fun!!
